the .45 over a .46

A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him ‘Why do you carry a .45?’ The Ranger responded, ‘Because they don’t make a 46.’

  • Texas Colt carry

I have a Colt .45 series 80, Mark 4 Combat Elite, the enhanced version with serial number ending in E. I have carried this Colt daily for approx 10 years. Its still in perfect shape and has had many rounds thru it. It swallows hollow points without a single hiccup, infact it has never had a single mis-feed or mis-fire ever. I have several other pistols to conceal carry with but the Colt is my favorite. I will never give this one up.
