SHOT Show stands for Shooting Hunting Outdoor Trade Show, it is held at the Sands Convention Center at the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas NV, USA. It is a private INDUSTRY ONLY show. As media, we are invited to come out and see all the new firearms in the Industry so we may bring you the viewer new content. This video is from Industry Day, also known as Media Day. This is our “first day” where we get to shoot all different firearms, ammo, accessories, etc. It is a really fun day to try many different types of firearms from skeet shooting to full auto. Tomorrow starts the first official day of the trade show.
The #WindhamProject is a Windham Weaponry RMCS-4 AR which is chambered in 5.56, .300BLK, 7.62x39mm, 9mm and .22lr. We have grabbed some of the most awesome parts of the gun industry to help us better customize this rifle and show you how you can turn this rifle from something awesome to something EPIC and drool worthy at the range.

Today on Part 2 of the #WindhamProject Review
We look at what all the RMCS-4 can do in terms of caliber changes as well as customization.
The Gears crew is no stranger to the Henry Arms lineup of awesome lever actions. When it comes to lever actions, Henry is at the top; for their smooth almost seemingly custom feeling action.

The awesome folks at WMD Guns sent us out their new BCG which is designed to have a harder and smoother wear surface. The NiBXBCG0001 is a full auto BCG which in my opinion is a must if you like to run your guns dirty like the GEARS Crew does.
Be sure to check them out and stay tuned for the full review of the RMCS-4 known as the #WindhamProject.

Today we are looking at the CMMG AKS13 SBN with pinned Krink muzzle device. We have a full review coming up on this gun in the near future. We are also reviewing it alongside a few other 7.62x39mm rifles that use the AK style magazine such as the: RAS47 MOE AK from Century Arms Windham Weaponry RMCS-4 Multicaliber AR (#Windhamproject) IWI US Galil Ace.
Have you shot this gun? What is your take on the gun?
Yesterday we looked at the XPRODUCTS X25S for Video Tuesday which sent me back to when we had first become friends with James and the awesome Team over at XPRODUCTS.
As you can see below we have been working with them since before they dropped the S in XS-Products and I stand by my first review of the XPRODUCTS X-15. “Size: I live in the great state of Texas where I am not limited on how many rounds I can have in my magazine. I own 30 round magazines and up, which can be a problem if you are sighting your rifle in on a lead sled but I found that the X-15 works great for that and I don’t have to change mags if 10 rounds wasn’t enough or if you are sighting in a number of ARs.”
After that review came out, someone laughed at me for the sighting in comment, saying if you need 50 rounds to sight in a rifle you are the problem. Lets face it, how many of us have sighted in our rifle and said “hey, I have shot my 10 rounds to get sighted in now I don’t want to shoot anymore”? Once the rifle is sighted in, thats when the real fun starts. So why wouldn’t you loaded up a full 50 round drum for the “after party”?
What is your take on the over 30 round mags on the market?
Sometimes you just need a big knife and tactical vest. This is one of those times. Like I said, I do really like the gear. However, as someone who was never military or a three gun shooter, I don’t really care all that much to wear MOLLE, unless I have a need for it. This vest has been coming in real handy while reviewing the #WindhamProject. We are firing thousands of rounds through this rifle. The MOLLE vest makes it easier to keep mags closer for speedier reload time.
Something I failed to mention about this vest, is that is it mainly made with a mesh body. That makes this vest breathable. This is nice in the Texas sun when you are wearing it for hours on end.
I also keep my Leatherman MUT on my vest, which you can see on the left hand side of the screen when looking at the vest.
The video below is of the OPSGEAR guys using the cutaway system.
The GEARS CREW are back at it again, saving the world from the evils of ectoplasm and the Ghosts who cause it.
CMMG was kind enough to send us out the conversion kit to test along side the #WindhamProject. We wanted to bring the caliber count up from the stock 4 calibers of 5.56NATO,7.62x39mm,9mm and .300BLK to a fifth caliber with the .22lr conversion kit.

Versions of the Kit
CMMG makes a few versions of this kit to handle the left handed rifles. Just swap this drop in conversion with your bolt carrier group and you will be ready to shoot .22LR. Ships with 25rd 22LR magazine. All Stainless Steel Construction, includes a 25rd Magazine.

I think this is an awesome training aid. Trying to introduce people who have a fear of guns and mainly a fear of the AR platform can be at times difficult. This can be due to the noise or the simple fear of recoil hurting them.
I like being able to start someone off with a .22lr and getting them comfortable using one gun with one set of controls and then being able to graduate them to the .223/5.56 calibers. In other words, you can train on the gun that you will graduate to. This makes you comfortable with all the different parts of the gun that you will shoot long term. This is a great way to watch people get over their fear and really start to enjoy the sport.
