We wrote about the Kel-Tec KSG back in April and our view of the bullpup design still hasn’t changed about enjoying the bullpup design and concept, the idea of having a full length rifle in a small package without the loss of accuracy and range of a short barreled rifle.

The rifle has a different ejection system than any rifle I ever seen and is patented by Kel-tec as a forward ejection system. The spent shells are ejected through a tube over the barrel of the weapon and slowly push each round out using the round after or if the weapons barrel is tilted down they can just fall out. One of the major advantages to this system is when firing next to someone you are not shooting hot brass towards them.

The weapon system is fully ambidextrous.

The barrel is threaded to allow for flash suppressor or sound suppressor.

The weapon and be field stripped much like the AR-15 platform by using a live round to push out the 3 pins that holds this weapon together.

(Bolt open and magazine removed)

This pistol was designed as a bolt action to limit the noise made by the action.

The suppressor slows the supersonic 9mm round down to subsonic to reduce the noise, by doing this it dropped the pistols max effective range down to 75ft.

The detachable single stack box magazine was wrapped in rubber and used as the pistols grip

The sound suppression was no more than 10-15 rounds, after which the shooter would have to remove and replace the baffles in the weapon. This was due to the rubber washers used in the suppressor would quickly deteriorate after 10- 15 shots making the sound suppression be less effective.
