My TP .22

The Iver Johnson TP .22  is a fun little gun to go plinking with. The gun pictured looks to be rusted but that is just the patina on the metal and when handling the pistol it isn’t that reddish-brown.

I was sent a site with gun manuals and from the forums, I am a part of I have seen a few people asking for a manual for this pistol, and well…. here is it.

Palmetto State Armory has the Ammo you want, in stock! Click Here!!

The gun is notoriously bad with feeding and ejecting some types of ammo. I have found it likes a copper jacketed .22lr the best and doesn’t like slow steady shooting, it is an “I have 7 rounds in my mag and I want to shoot them as fast as you can pull my trigger” type of gun.

All in all, this isn’t a bad little gun and if you can find one cheap, then go ahead and pick it up, if not then don’t bother with it as there are better options out there in the world of .22lr pistols.

The gun has a nice feel in the hand, it is very light and easy to hold. The trigger pull is a bit long but smooth and crisp. The sights are simple but work well for me, I can hit a soda can at about 20 yards with no problem.

So what do you think?

This is a nice starter pistol for teaching someone how to use a pistol.

The TP .22 is a fun little plinker that is cheap to shoot and easy to maintain. I have had mine for a few years now and it has never failed to fire. I have put a few thousand rounds through it and it is still going strong.
