The M4SD II Suppressor is NOT Hearing Safe!

The Griffin Armament M4SD II Suppressor is fundamentally like any other can. The M4SD II does have one very awesome difference that we will discuss in a moment.  But this can is still a .223 can, which means that sustained fire will cause hearing loss. I am starting here because there is a miss-belief that suppressors make the gun hearing safe and well, that is just not always the case. I want all of my readers to live a long and healthy life and enjoy being able to hear.  So keep your eyes and ears on folks!

What is it Compatible With?

As many of our readers know, there are two main types of cans out there. The quick detach and the direct thread (yes, there are integrated suppressors but we are not talking about them). Both have their place in the market. Depending on your needs, you might want one over the other.

In the case of a rifle that is chambered in .338LM, you might pick a direct thread as you probably won’t use that can for anything other than that round.  However, when it comes to the semi-auto rifles, you might just have the desire to mount your can to many rifles and that is where the QD comes into play.

If you buy a QD suppressor you are going to get that manufacturer’s muzzle device and will need to purchase a muzzle device for each rifle you own and that can get costly real quick. But here is where the M4SD II stands out… it mounts to the A2 Birdcage that comes on most ARs today.

IWI Tavor X95 With the Griffin Armament M4SD II

This is the whole reason I wanted the M4SD II Suppressor. I knew I had rifles and pistols that still had the A2 birdcage we all know mounted to them.  This makes the M4SD ll suppressor something worth talking about. If the can was just good because it mounts using the A2 Birdcage the suppressor, it wouldn’t be worth the price tag of nearly $900. Thankfully Griffin Armament made sure it had one of the highest reductions of noise in its caliber with a rating at 35 dB measured by Griffin you are sure to get what you pay for.

The Warranty

Before we get to the video I want to touch on the warranty. When Griffin Armament says they have a lifetime warranty they are not speaking of the original owner’s lifetime but the lifetime of the suppressor. This warranty passes to all owners without the need for a receipt or proof of purchase. You just need the can. To that is what all Lifetime Warranties should mean.

The M4SD II Review

I will warn you and say that this is a 21-minute long review and the majority of it is just talking.  I promise if you are willing to listen you will find out why I think this can is worth the cost.
