The Tavor x95
The Tavor x95 is not the first IWI product we have reviewed. We have reviewed everything from the Galil chambered in 7.62×39 and .308 to the new Tavor TS 12 Shotgun and most importantly to this review, the Tavor SAR chambered in 5.56×45. When I hear the name Tavor, the x95 and SAR are the first two rifles that come to mind but as I said l, they do have a shotgun Tavor and a new .308 with the Tavor 7.
The Video
While making the video I spent more time “reviewing” the rifle than just giving you a first look. This meant that when I was editing I had to carefully choose what I deemed to be “first look” compared to review material. So if you are looking for more info on this rifle please stay tuned as we will be releasing a full review in March 2020.
Rails are not stupid
I am not here to call people out on dumb stuff they say on the internet but I am going to make one simple comment. QUAD RAILS ARE NOT STUPID. If you don’t like them and want to spend more money on an M-Lok rail system, by all means, please do. Make the gun yours, but getting butthurt over someone liking rails on their already expensive rifle doesn’t affect you. Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk.
Tavor SAR vs. Tavor x95
To compare the SAR to the x95 is like comparing a prototype to a gen 2 model in my books. You can see what they were going for when you look at the SAR but it isn’t as refined or customizable as the x95. The SAR is good but the x95 is just flat out better.
Things to look for in the full review
- Customization
- Comparison of SAR vs x95
- 200-yard accuracy testing from a bench
- Suppressed shooting
- (not guaranteed) Possible caliber conversion
- Cost and Specs
- Overall thoughts and pro and cons
