Yesterday we posted a question asking if anyone could tell what all the weapons we had on the page had in common (check here to see the post) and we got two comments one from our friends over at  Romeo Tango Bravo and one from a reader who was able to name the weapon.

Designer: William B. Ruger, Harry H. Sefried, II
Designed: in 1964 with over 5 million manufactured

Specs
(Standard 10/22 carbine)
Weight: 5.25 lb (2.4 kg)
Length: 37 in (940 mm)
Barrel length: 18.5 in (470 mm)
Cartridge: .22 LR
Action: Semi auto Blowback
Feed system: removable magazine, from 5 round up 50 round drums.

The Ruger 10/22 offers the shooter the ability to customize the weapon to fire off many different stocks that changes the weapon look everything from:

  • H&K G36
  • H&K MP5
  • bullpup stock
  • Gatling (double barrel) type weapon
  • Tommy gun stock
  • AR-15 type stock

Just to name a few.

For a .22 Long Rifle this is a pretty cool weapon.

The Gears of guns crew is heading out to the range tomorrow with two new shooters to teach weapon safety.
