Double Star ARP7 Cover

The ARP7 – A Name that Makes Sense.

I like the name ARP7. Don’t get me wrong I like ARs called Zombie Annihilator or Space Invader or even REPR. However, if you name your rifle the xyz81435plq by Waffle Armament NO ONE WILL REMEMBER THE NAME! Thankfully Double star went with a route that tells you what the gun is AR (the pattern) P (Pistol) 7 (barrel length… kinda, it really means the handguard). Now, when you are at the range and some dude sees your decked out firearm, you can remember the name. This has been my TED Talk, thank you for coming.

Overall thoughts

Writing about an AR is difficult. You have to find the pros and cons of the rifle and try and show why someone would want to purchase it. The pros of this pistol are that they went with parts that stand out. I am a big fan of the Double Star Strongarm Pistol Brace. I love the flame-throwing ability of their Big Timber Brake and you know I love me some bigger charging handles. You can tell that they went to great length to build something you would want to drop the $1000 on (I don’t know the true market price but MSRP is $1299, so I am ballparking).

I am still currently working on getting a hold of them to review their STAR-10 B in .308, just because I loved this pistol so much, so hopefully, stay tuned for that.
