Noveske Space Invader Review Feat: DeadAir Wolfman

The Noveske Space Invader in 9mm

The Space Invader SBR

The Noveke Space Invader comes in 2 configurations. The SBR version (Short Barreled Rifle) and the pistol version. Since this review is in partnership with Silencershop.com, We were able to review this firearm in the SBR version. Now normally I would recommend the pistol version, just gets the stamp and convert later, however, Q does not sell their stocks or braces to the public outside of on their rifle or their partnerships. If you want the SBR, as it is, your rifle is going to purgatory until the stamp comes back.

The Deadair Wolfman 9mm Suppressor

Now I wanted to review this suppressor in full but Deadair just hasn’t released the data I wanted to talk about, which is dB ratings. My goal for suppressor reviews is to give you the data in a manner in which anyone can digest it and understand why I feel one way or another about the can. It is important to look at a number of different points.

  • Cost
  • Sound reduction
  • Cost to sound reduction
  • Ease of use
  • Caliber ratings
  • Full auto rating
  • Other

Two of my top three points are crossed off the list as Deadair (at the time of this article) has not released their numbers. But we can still talk about the other points.

The breakdown

Cost: $799 (before stamp). Not a bad price for all the calibers it can handle.

Ease of use: With all the mounts that you can pick up with this can, you will be able to find the thread pitch for you.
Piston Mounts: 1/2 x 28, M13.5x1LH, 9/16×24, M14.5x1LH .578×28 M16x1LH M16x1RH
Fixed Mounts:   3-Lug 1/2×28 1/2×36 5/8×24 M18x1 M13.5x1LH

Caliber Rating: 5.56, 300BLK, 7.62×39, 9X39, 350 Legend, (When shooting supersonic rifle ammo you must use the KeyMicro brake, semi-auto only rated on supersonic rifle cartridges. Full-auto rated on everything else) .380, 9mm.

Full auto rating: While this might not seem important to most, it does help with the longevity of the can. If you are needing a can that can handle the high heat and the abuse of a high cyclic rate, you need a full auto-rated can.

Other: Normal falls into what makes this can special and that is the fact you can reduce the length of the can from 7.5” to 5.13”, in doing so you also reduce the weight. I tend to stay away from the weight of cans when I am reviewing them as I look at weight from a round count standpoint. How many rounds (of the caliber you are shooting) and does it equal to when you are measuring something that is the “new lightweight model”. Let’s face it when it comes to weight, we have other items on our rifles that can be removed to account for the “weight savings” in a can. If I am running a bolt gun, I don’t care if the can weighs a ton as I am shooting from a bipod or a bag.

How It Fits Me

So we will go backward on what I love about the Noveske Space Invader.

I love that they shipped the rifle with BUIS. This should be a standard. I can’t tell you how many times I have been on a review where I have had a battery die on me because I have been running the sight hard for the last few weeks and never turn off the sight. If you ever notice we are using the BUIS, it is because the battery died while in the middle of a review.

I had never used the MOE-K pistol grip before and honestly, I have a new favorite hard polymer pistol grip in that.

The stock? I LOVE. With how small everything folds up, it makes for a small package.

I love the Ambi safety being only a 60-degree safety. I didn’t touch on this in the review, but I like short-throw safeties.

I have been running a Geissele SSA trigger since 2012 and they are one of my all-time favorite triggers. And yes, the SSA-E is better but not by much.

Gimme that charging handle! I love the size.

With an 8.5” barrel you can easily push this firearm out to 200 yards. I wanted to do the whole review at 200, but I forgot when I started filming what I had planned. By the time I remembered, I was already finished.

Final Thoughts

Go watch the video on this Space Invader. My only complaint is that the mags are SMG and not Glock. I guess if I want a Glock mag I will have to look at someone like CMMG. It is still an amazing firearm. I am thinking of adding the pistol version to my collection in 2020, but we will have to see. Maybe they will release a Glock mag version in 2020. I don’t know.
